Portraitclass in Cockenzie - year 3 - day 1

Back once again - a great christmas gift from Tore.

We landed yesterday afternoon, collected our rental car and drove to Cockenzie and checked in to our airbnb-flat.

We bought takeaway - pizza and enjoyed it there

Later we went for a walk along the beachpromenade before we saw Norway beating Brasil and get to the quarterfinal in the World Cup in football 🇧🇻🥳

Today was the first day at summerschool. So nice to see Aine again, + 3 familiar fellow students from last year and 3 new acquaintances. 1 from Canada and 1 from the USA, so not just me coming from far away.

Helena was also sitting for us last year, and the year before 😊 so her features are getting familiar to me.

I was slow starting, so I didn’t get the portrait finished. But I got everything in the right place, just lacking the details, so quite happy with it.

I will finish the painting later. Tomorrow there will be a new model.

Tore went for a walk to Yester Castle while I was painting, then he came to the finishing part of the class.

Like every other year we finish the day by lining up all the paintings, and Aine is going through all commenting.

After class Tore and I drove to Musselborough and had mussels 👌

Tonight it will be early to bed, a bit drained out after travelling, late night with football yesterday and deep concentration today.

Looking forward to seeing who is the model tomorrow!
