Lucky me, I got the same Christmasgift from Tore as the year before 🥰 five days portraitclass with Aine Devine in idyllic Cockenzie east of Edinburgh.
It was so lovely to meet her again, and nice to get to know the other students in class.
It was the same agenda as last year, five live models, one new eache day. Abour 3-4 hours to spend painting each of them, so a bit stressful to be able to pull off a decent portrait. At the same time this is very useful in order to sopt the fiddeling and get on with it.
Day 1 it was Pete as a model. We painted him last year also. I got a new angel on him this year though.

Here is the finished painting. Under is the half finished painting at lunshtime.

Day 2 we got a model that was new for me, Komachi. She came wearing a beautiful kimono and with flowers in her hair. 🥰 such a joy to paint!

Each day we finish the same way, with a presentation of all the paintings, and Aine commenting on them all. And then a picture with Aine and the model in front of the paintings.

Tore is enjoying his days exploring the nearby environments while I'm in class. He has dirven around 600 miles, and walked many thousand steps these days.
After class we have done some exploring together. The weather has been amazing, som we have had lots of Takeaways meals eating outside. Amongst other lovely Fish and chips

Port Seton, a beautiful little harbour close to the flat we rented had a lot of nice motifs.

Both at sea and on shore

And in the studio were the class was Aine had decorated with beautiful flowers

Lots of inspiration everywere 😊
I will write more tomorrow, both about the class and experiences outside the classroom.
