Luckely it's still light in the evenings and warm enough to be sitting out enjoying the summer
Every day life is back on, working, but I hope the summer will last long still.
After the creative holliday in Scotland I can feel the urge to paint like bubbles inside me. I have been creative in many ways after comming back, let me show some of it
One of the first things I did was to finish a comission. Liva had asked me to make a painting of her lovely "boys" 😊 Since my cousin and husband from Denmark was visiting in Holmedal, I could send the painting with them back to Denmark. Fortunately Liva was very happy with the painting, and she posted this picture with a lovely greeting on Facebook 🥰
I have been swinging anoteher paintbrush this summer too. My father, brother and I are painting the houses in Holmedal. The colour is a kind of greige and I think we will be very happy with this colour.
We have had lots of guests in Holmedal this summer. My children and grandchildren was allready there whentore and I came back home from our trip.
Then cousin Ulla and husband Andreas with their dogs came from Denmark. We spent alot of time by and in the sea, and the dogs Gangster and Ibber became a bit too fond of jumping into the sea 😁
We had two lovely trips to Værlandet and Bulandet this summer. Here is the mountain Alden on our way to docking with the ferry at Værlandet. This mountain is an island, it comes straight up from the ocean. The north sea is next in the west. This mountain I will paint soon
Both times to these islands we visited Laila at Landøy Brimmen Stone. She runs the company by her self, and produces the most amazing worktops, tables, benches and smaller things like cutting boards. In both houses we have bought Black Beuty for worktops, this is very rare, and she exports it to amongst other countries to Italy. Tore has bought another stone from Laila for his worktop, conglomerate. We went to visit the quarry with her to pick the stone we wanted. This is how Tores kitchen looks like with this stone:
The project renovation of Tores house is one of the creative projects I have been enjoying. That is, Tore has been dooing the heavy work here, and I have been enjoying the creative process and some lighter work.
I will show some more pictures from this renovation, and the house-building-project in Holmedal later.
And of course I have been enjoying som more art-painting too this summer. But this I will show in my next blog 😊
