Roadtrip in Scotland - day five and six

We are slowly getting used to driving on the wrong side of the road 😊

Today we travelled southeast, on narrow roads and over some nice mountains, to Benmore. First we visited Benmore Botanical Garden, and had some hours walking around here. Sooo many insanly huge rhododendron-trees. Impressive garden!

Very impressive!!!

Here am I, inside one of the enormous rhododendros.

I couldn't resist climbing a tree, used to love that as a child.

Tore next to one of the giansts.

We had a good lunsh in the park, and then drove just 5 minutes to the next experience. Tore had found a lovely forrest, one of the most magic places anyone of us have ever seen. Pucks Glen is the name. Highly recomended!

Here are some pictures from this magic walk:

Some areas of the path were bright and some dark. Everywhere there was a magical light through the trees.

the walk was 2,8 km uphills and dowhnhills, a well prepared path to walk on

Incredibly beatyful, refreshingly cool, followin a river all the way

Strange that the trees have enough light and soil to grow to this size down here

After this lovely walk we drove further, and took a ferry crossing over towards Glasgow

We spent the night in a nice hotel i Glasgow, and also had a great dinner at the hotel

Our room at the hotel had a suitable wallpaper 😁 I believe I have to find out where I can buy this!

We had an early morning and a good breakfast. A funny detail was this milk pail for the milk to the coffee 😁

We had time for some hours walk in the city. I had to fin a brief to carry my paintings safe home on the airplane. On our search for that we found a shopping-center with great interior.

Beautiful streetart

Bubbles are the theme 😊

At the airport I finally found a magazine I had been searching. Aine Divine my tutor at summer-school had an article in this magazine about portrait-painting

We delivered the rental car in good time before takeoff. Luckely, because we spent a long time queeing up before comming in to the gate. Passport-check when we came back was also a long wait

Bye-bye for now Scotland, we will be back! Driving home from Bergen took time too, road-constructions as usual, so the ferry we had planned left before we got ther. So late at night before we were home.

A really lovely holliday-trip ❤️
